Frequently asked questions
Does a foreign SaaS company need to charge Turkish VAT?
Yes, when it sells electronic services to consumers in Türkiye: non-resident providers must register through GİB's digital service portal and file monthly, with no revenue threshold. B2B sales are usually handled by the Turkish buyer through reverse charge.
Is KVKK the same as GDPR?
No. It is similar in spirit, but notice, consent, VERBİS and transfer rules differ.
