What this check does not do

It does not confirm that a person, company or bank account exists.
It does not query GİB's e-Fatura user list; your integrator does that.
Treat national ID numbers as personal data under KVKK: do not log them in plain text.

Is a valid check digit enough to accept a TCKN?

No. It only rules out typos. Identity verification is a separate, regulated process.

How many characters does a Turkish IBAN have?

26: "TR", two check digits, a five-digit bank code, a reserved digit (0) and a 16-digit account number.
